Return home to the simple life...

I loveeee Boston. But the city life can become too much to deal with sometimes. How can we truly put down our roots into a ground of concrete and pollution. Trees, fresh air, and nature are our soul's true calling. My home is back up in New Hampshire. I went home yesterday for my brother's BDAY festivities. It is so nice to spend time with the people you love. The concept of "family" has never been particularly important term for me most of my life. But in the last 3 years of my life.. i have grown closer to them than i ever have before. They represent the bond we have to connection and love. My family is what keeps my heart filled with hope…..
Even the concept of "home" is an anchor in our lives. We all have different relationships to our homes but regardless, "home" is part of who we are. I come home to New Hampshire and spend as much time outside as i can. Even the air feels different. Coming from the chaos of the city...being out in the woods is a completely peaceful stillness. You can honestly feel all the life around you. Everything from the sounds of the birds to the smell of wet earth. You become humbled in the presence of everything organic. I had a nice walking meditation outside that night. If i don't get a taste of nature at least once a month i go crazy down here. I am going to try and get some field trips going for various classes doing a hike or something like that. Let me know if anyone would be up for something like that...

Here are some pics of last few times up in nh...
